Cloud9.

Inspired by the ski culture I grew up around in Park City, Utah, “Après Ego” reflects my deep love for the mountains and the unforgettable moments that follow a long day on the slopes. Having also skied places like Jackson Hole, Aspen Highlands, and Steamboat, I’ve always been drawn to the rhythm of a ski day, the cold air, long runs, and the feeling of earning every turn. In this piece, a confident skier appears in a series of striking poses, skis resting casually over the shoulder, capturing the effortless style that comes once the lifts close and the day winds down. Set against a minimal, sketchlike backdrop of soft greys, the bold red stripe of the skis cuts across the composition, adding energy and guiding the viewer through the scene. The work evokes that unmistakable après feeling, the moment you walk into the lodge still in your gear, maybe after the Highlands hike, grabbing fondue at Cloud Nine while cold beers and champagne mark the end of a perfect bluebird day. Simple yet expressive, “Après Ego” celebrates the confidence, camaraderie, and quiet swagger that follow a full day on the mountain.
