TurboAQ

Senior Product Designer 2025

I partnered with Inspire11 to transform our AQ Method™ into TurboAQ - an AI-powered modernization framework that helps enterprises unlock ROI, resilience, and relevance. The approach embeds adaptability across the business, using AI and next-gen tech to remove friction, accelerate delivery, and shift focus from maintenance to innovation, even for systems built before the internet.

As Senior Product Designer, I shaped the narrative and user experience for TurboAQ - turning complex modernization goals into clear workflows, visuals, and stakeholder-ready materials that drive adoption and delivery.

Context

Overview

TurboAQ was born from a direct request by Inspire11’s CEO to transform our internal AQ Method™—a modernization framework for enterprise adaptability—into a deployable, AI-powered product. The vision: prove that modernization could move at the speed of innovation, not bureaucracy.

Built to help organizations understand and modernize legacy codebases using multi-agent AI, TurboAQ delivers explainable insights, transformation validation, and seamless collaboration—all within a matter of weeks, not months.

The project’s goal was clear and ambitious: demonstrate that an AI-driven modernization accelerator could analyze entire codebases, explain them in plain English, and automatically map modernization opportunities—bridging the gap between business leaders and engineers while cutting technical debt at scale.

My Role

As Senior Product Designer, I helped shape TurboAQ from concept to functional prototype in record time. Partnering directly with the CEO, engineers, and AI architects, I led the design of the platform experience, crafting the workflows, visual identity, and interaction model that would make complex AI outputs intuitive and credible to enterprise users.

I translated abstract AI capabilities—like multi-agent orchestration, explainability, and transformation validation—into a clear, cohesive user experience. This included defining the narrative flow from “codebase ingestion” to “modernization insights,” establishing the product’s visual tone, and developing high-fidelity designs ready for rapid deployment.

I also collaborated with cross-functional leads to align brand, messaging, and usability across decks, demos, and client-ready prototypes—positioning TurboAQ as both a proof-of-concept and a market-ready accelerator within Inspire11’s modernization portfolio.

Project Brief

TurboAQ is an AI-powered modernization accelerator developed at Inspire11. Built on our proven AQ Method™, TurboAQ was created in direct response to a CEO request: to transform our modernization framework into a deployable, client-ready product fast.

In just a few weeks, we designed, built, and launched a functioning prototype capable of understanding entire legacy codebases, explaining them in plain English, and automatically identifying modernization opportunities. The tool leverages multi-agent AI to process complex systems, validate transformations, and generate agile-ready deliverables—bridging the gap between business leaders, engineers, and modernization strategy.

⚡️ The Challenge
TurboAQ needed to prove the speed and value of AI-led modernization within a matter of weeks - not months. The sprint required rapid alignment across design, engineering, and leadership to turn a conceptual framework into a tangible, credible product that could be demoed to enterprise clients.

Key questions guided our design approach:

  • How do we make AI explainability and modernization insights intuitive, transparent, and trustworthy for technical and non-technical users?

  • How do we visualize complex code analysis in a way that feels clear, actionable, and human?

  • How do we build and brand a new product that embodies Inspire11’s adaptability vision while fitting seamlessly into client modernization workflows?

Design

Product Architecture & Experience Design → Defined end-to-end user flows that made complex AI capabilities feel simple and credible. Designed the experience from codebase ingestion through modernization insights, validation checklists, and transformation summaries—ensuring clarity and trust across every interaction.

Visual Identity & Interface System → Established a visual language that blended technical precision with approachability, using dark, performance-driven tones contrasted by vibrant AI-accent colors. Designed the logo, interface components, and data visualization patterns that communicated speed, intelligence, and control.

Narrative & Storytelling → Framed TurboAQ as a bridge between AI and modernization strategy, emphasizing explainability and business value. Every screen, label, and interaction was crafted to translate technical depth into actionable insight for executives and engineers alike.

Rapid Prototyping & Deployment → Worked in accelerated sprints with engineering and leadership to deliver high-fidelity, functional prototypes within weeks. Iterated daily based on feedback, optimizing clarity, hierarchy, and flow to support client demos and internal rollout.

Takeaways

Speed reveals clarity → Building a deployable AI product in weeks forced rapid alignment, sharp decision-making, and focus on what truly matters to users.

Design translates complexity → Turning multi-agent AI and legacy modernization into an intuitive, trustworthy experience proved the power of clear UX in technical innovation.

Narrative drives adoption → Framing TurboAQ as an “AI-powered modernization accelerator” helped leadership and clients immediately understand its value and use cases.

Enterprise velocity as design training → TurboAQ reinforced my ability to move fast in ambiguous, high-stakes environments—balancing narrative, usability, and feasibility under extreme time constraints.
